underground: old works verification
Directionally drilled surface-initiated or underground boreholes of known location and trajectory can verify the location, and/or non-presence, of abandoned mines and their workings to permit safe mining by the active mine without the hazard of unexpected inundation of water or gases from the abandoned mine.
